11th annual Christmas Tree Lighting 2025
Celebrate the holiday season in Downtown Long Beach at our 11th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting! With a 67-foot Christmas tree adorned with over 500,000 dazzling lights, this is the perfect way to kick off the holidays with friends, family, and the community.
Festive Activities
- Fireworks: The tree lighting ceremony will be capped off by a thrilling fireworks finale with falling snow.
- Live Music & Performances: Enjoy carolers, live bands, and a performance from The Nutcracker by the Long Beach Ballet.
- Photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus: Bring Santa your holiday wishes and pose for a special keepsake photo.
- Selfie Stations: Capture the magic of the season at holiday-themed selfie stations.
- Train Rides: Free train rides will be available before and after the tree lighting
Spark of Love Toy Drive
Join the Long Beach Fire Department in spreading holiday cheer to children and families in need.

As part of the annual Spark of Love Toy Drive, firefighters will be accepting new, unwrapped toys and gifts to be delivered to deserving kids and families. The program, which began in 1955, culminates with the Code 3 Delivery Day, when gifts will be delivered by Santa himself aboard a fire engine sleigh.
Your generosity will help make the season brighter for those in need - don’t forget to bring a toy!

Entry Points
- The main entry point is accessible via Ocean Blvd. This will be the quickest way into the event.
- A secondary entry point is located near the east side of the Terrace Theater, closest to the Arena Parking Garage.
- All attendees will pass through a security checkpoint. Please review the prohibited items list below to ensure a smooth entry.

- Free parking is available for this event in the Terrace Theater Parking Garage and the Arena Parking Garage.

ADA Access
The ADA seating and viewing area is located on the East Side of the Terrace Theater Plaza, closest to Ocean Blvd.
Restroom Facilities
Public restrooms will be available inside the Terrace Theater Lobby.
Bag Policy
Personal bags larger than 12” H x 12” W x 6” D are not allowed. Please plan accordingly to avoid delays at security.
Furry Friends
We kindly request that you leave your pets at home for this event. While we love our furry friends, only service animals are allowed for this celebration.
