About Ali Siddiq

The Houston comedian's style of stand-up took shape while he was incarcerated, and his stories draw on his own life. He first reached national audiences on HBO's Def Comedy Jam, Comedy Central named him its #1 Comic to Watch in 2013, and his first hour special, It's Bigger Than These Bars, was taped inside a Texas jail.

Since 2022 he has released most of his specials on his own YouTube channel. My Two Sons won the 2026 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Variety (Series or Special), Rugged earned three Webby honors, and his next special, The Dog, premieres December 13, 2026.
